How Is Morpheus8™ Performed?
You’ll be instructed to come to your Morpheus8™ appointment with your skin ready for treatment. This often includes cleansing your skin beforehand and avoiding using lotion, perfume, or makeup in the selected treatment areas.
At your appointment, your provider will cleanse your skin and apply a numbing cream to the area. You’ll need to sit with the cream on your skin for around 30 to 60 minutes (depending on the treatment area) so the numbing effects can take place. Once your skin is fully prepared, your provider will take the Morpheus8™ device and precisely apply it over the chosen areas. The needles in the device will sink into the deeper layers of your skin, allowing the radiofrequency energy to increase collagen and elastin production. The number of times the Morpheus8™ device is stamped over the skin will depend on the treatment area and desired outcome.
What Is Morpheus8™ Recovery Like?
While recovery is generally minimal, you can expect your skin to be red for a few days after treatment. Some itchiness, irritation, and swelling can also be expected during the first few days following your appointment. Makeup should be avoided for at least 24 hours after treatment. During recovery, it is essential to keep the skin moisturized and protected from the sun. You should refrain from direct sun exposure on freshly treated skin and use sunscreen with an SPF of 30 or more whenever you’re outside. Most patients find that they are fully recovered from Morpheus8™ three to five days after their initial treatment.
What Results Can I Expect After Morpheus8™?
Once you’ve fully recovered, you’ll have smoother, firmer skin that gives you a youthful glow. Many patients are able to enjoy their results just a few days after their appointment. The majority of the improvements made during your treatment will be visible after three weeks, though your skin will continue to improve up to three months later.
