A Brazilian Butt Lift (BBL) enhances the size and shape of the butt to provide you with your desired results. Planning for a Brazilian Butt Lift

For those who desire an enhanced behind to complement the body’s curves and entire silhouette, Brazilian Butt Lift surgery can be a fantastic option. A BBL adds volume to the buttocks by removing unwanted fat from other body areas. This results in multiple benefits, including removing excess fat (often from areas like the abdomen, back, thighs, hips, etc.), improving the size and shape of the buttocks, and enhancing the overall figure.

Many people look forward to showing off their new curvaceous backside in jeans, shorts, skirts, bathing suits, and other clothing. Yet, it’s important to understand that properly preparing for both the BBL procedure itself and the recovery process is a crucial aspect to ensure you get the best possible results.

How to Prepare for BBL Surgery

Before your BBL procedure, you may be asked to get a blood test to check if you’re in good health and a suitable candidate for the surgery. Having good health means that you can undergo the procedure safely and reduce the risk of surgical complications.

The medications you take on a regular basis may need to be adjusted prior to your BBL. This is because certain medications, such as aspirin, some anti-inflammatory drugs, and others, can cause an increase in bleeding, which could be detrimental during or after surgery.

Patients who smoke will be instructed to stop smoking for at least six weeks before and after the procedure. This is necessary since smoking increases surgical complications and negatively impacts the body’s natural healing process. Quitting smoking can help reduce the risk of complications during surgery and make the BBL recovery process go smoother.

How to Prepare for BBL Recovery

Resting and not putting any pressure on the buttocks after BBL surgery are the key components of recovery. When preparing for recovery, you should set up your space at home for optimal convenience and rest. Place essential items that you’ll need every day (e.g., your cell phone, phone charger, water, etc.) close to your bed or couch so they stay within reach and are easily accessible. Basic household chores such as laundry and cleaning should be done before your procedure, so you don’t have to worry about these tasks while you’re healing from your BBL.

One of the crucial BBL recovery instructions is not to sit down or lie down directly on the buttocks for at least six weeks. The only exception is sitting on the toilet while using the bathroom. To prepare for this, you may want to consider purchasing a BBL pillow to help you sit without putting direct pressure on the healing buttocks.
