Is Breast Augmentation Right for Me?

Breasts are one of the hallmarks of womanhood and youth, so they can affect your confidence if you’re not happy with how they look. You don’t have to live with breasts that you don’t love. At Kadz Plastic Surgery in Beverly Hills, CA, we offer breast augmentation, a procedure that can help improve the size, shape, and proportions of your breasts to make them look exactly how you always dreamed they would.

Is Breast Augmentation Right for Me?

You’ve been considering breast augmentation, but how do you know if it’s right for you? Chances are, if you’re asking whether this procedure is right for you, you may have already set your heart on breast implants and want to experience all the benefits that this procedure has to offer. If you need some convincing, we can give you some reasons why breast augmentation is a good idea and what it can do for your appearance and your confidence.

You Want To Increase the Size of Your Breasts

Many women choose this procedure simply because they want bigger breasts If you’re tired of buying Victoria’s Secret’s latest “add two cup sizes” push-up bra and want the real thing, we’re here to let you know that it is within your reach. You don’t have to live a life defined by extra padding and push-up bras. With this procedure, you can transform your breasts and make them the size that you want.

You Want To Correct Breast Imperfections

Some women are not happy with specific breast imperfections, such as symmetry, proportion, and shape issues. If you aren’t happy with the appearance of your breasts and they have certain imperfections that make you feel self-conscious, whether visible or non-visible, breast augmentation can help address these issues so you can reach perfection.

Sometimes women with uneven breasts experience chronic neck and back pain. Chronic pain of any kind isn’t normal and can prevent you from enjoying the things that you love. This procedure can address symmetry issues to balance your body and alleviate pain.

You Want To Restore Your Breasts After Cancer

This procedure can help restore the breasts in women who have gone through cancer treatment. Sometimes cancer requires a full or partial mastectomy, which involves the removal of the breast tissue. The results of a mastectomy often make women feel self-conscious, but this procedure can help restore what they have lost due to cancer. It can help them make them feel more feminine and whole again.

Pregnancy and Nursing Have Changed Your Breasts

One or more pregnancies combined with years of nursing can take a toll on your breasts. It can cause them to look and feel much different than they used to. If you aren’t happy with the appearance, size, or shape of your breasts post-pregnancy, this procedure can transform them and help you feel like your old self again but even better.

What Is Breast Augmentation?

This procedure is designed to improve the appearance of the breasts by increasing the size and improving the shape and proportion. It is most often performed with the use of an implant. Different implants can be used during the procedure, including saline, silicone, and structured implants. Each has its advantages, and for most women, choosing the right one comes down to preference.

Customizing Your Procedure

This process begins with an initial consultation, during which we will confirm that you are in good health and are a good candidate for the procedure. We will review your medical history and discuss your goals. Once we confirm that you are eligible for the procedure, we will design your treatment plan.

We will review the three different implant types during the design process, including saline, structured, and silicone implants, and provide you more details about the advantages of each. We will discuss your aesthetic goals and the type of outcome you hope to achieve. We will also take different factors into account in customizing your procedure, including your current breast size, your desired breast size and shape, and your frame.

Procedure Add-Ons

Breast augmentation is one of the core procedures included in many of our procedure packages. If you want to address multiple areas of your body in addition to your breasts, you can do it by choosing one of our packages and transform your body but do it all at once. This way, you don’t have to schedule multiple procedures and endure multiple recoveries. Breast augmentation is an option included in:

When To Consider a Breast Lift

Breast augmentation will improve the appearance, size, shape, and proportion of the breasts, but it will not change their position on your chest wall. With the aging process, pregnancy, nursing, or weight fluctuations, your breast can begin to sag or droop. Augmentation cannot address this concern, but a breast lift can.

Many women opt to combine a breast lift with an augmentation to achieve the best results. We can evaluate the current state of your breasts during your initial consultation to see if you could benefit from adding a breast lift to your procedure.

Choosing an Implant

Saline and silicone implants are made of different substances. Saline implants contain saltwater and are filled once the shell has been positioned in the proper location on the chest wall. This implant typically requires a smaller incision. Silicone implants are filled with silicone gel, which feels very similar to human fat.

Gummy bear implants earned their name because their texture resembles an actual gummy bear. These are typically used during procedures for women who want much larger breasts.

Incision location

There are different incision locations, and Dr. Kadz will choose the right one for you. Incision locations include:

  • The armpit
  • The area beneath the breast
  • The lower side of the areola
  • The belly button

Frequently Asked Questions

How Do I Prepare for My Procedure?

Once we design your treatment plan and move forward with the process, we will schedule your procedure. We will provide you with a list of instructions on how to prepare for that day. Some of these directives may include the following:

  • Wait three to six months after you finish breastfeeding to schedule your procedure
  • Avoid eating at least eight hours before your scheduled procedure
  • Avoid alcohol one week before your procedure
  • Stop smoking several weeks before your procedure and quit altogether if possible
  • Avoid Omega-3s, vitamin E, fish oil, garlic, and any other over-the-counter blood thinners two weeks before your procedure

How Do I Prepare for My Recovery?

On the day of your procedure, you will need someone to drive you to and from your appointment and someone who can help with meals and household duties for a few days. You must avoid lifting anything over 10 pounds for several weeks and avoid strenuous activity until you are cleared by our surgeon.

When planning your meals, be sure to prepare healthy and nutritious options to help your body heal. Avoid sugary, salty, or processed foods since they can inhibit the healing process and make your recovery take longer. Make sure you stay hydrated and get enough rest because doing so will help your body recover as quickly as possible so that you can enjoy your new breasts.

Will I Still Be Able To Nurse?

Many women can nurse after this procedure. If you do plan on getting pregnant after your procedure and want to nurse, be sure to let Dr. Kadz know during your initial consultation so he can take that into account when designing your treatment plan. Certain aspects of the procedure may promote nursing post-op better than others.

Am I a Candidate?
